How to minimise Zoom window on MacBook Pro?

I recently made the switch from a Windows laptop to a MacBook. As I was using Zoom (the video teleconferencing software, not the zooming in/out feature) I noticed that when I minimised it, the minimised window did not appear in the background. For context, on my windows laptop, when I call someone and go to google chrome or word doc or any other application, the other participant will appear in a minimised window, usually on the top right. Then you can resize that background mini window to your liking and place it anywhere on your screen, and it'll stay there no matter which application you use, and will only close if you deliberately choose to. I searched Zoom settings and still was not able to find a relevant setting to this. Someone help me.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4
