when I share photo to Photos app it doesn't appear there
When take a photo with my Mac Air I can't find it. The photos in my Photo app don't have anything new since March

I am using Mac air photo booth to take the picture. Once the picture is taken I use the share icon to send it to Photos.
I see the Photos icon jump a few times like that's where it when. When I open photos I see I have the same number of pictures that I did before and the newest photo is from 4 months ago.

That explains it then. "Share to Photos" is adding the photos to the System Photos Library, it cannot add to any other library. So you have to view the System Photos Library in Photos (the library you are using with iCloud) to be able to see the shared photos.

What app are you using to take a picture with your air?
How are you then transferring the picture to photos?
I figured it out. I had selected a different folder under the picture folder. I changed it to use the photos.library folder and just like magic I found all my pictures that were in the cloud
