Why isn’t the military being represented in an emoji? We have a welder and not a soldier emoji?

Apple is not responsible for emojis, the Unicode Consortium is.

I suspect military isn't represented as an occupation as whatever emoji is designed would need to be universal in nature to be rendered across platforms.
