Giant question for anyone- My iphone 8 cannot be powered on. It has been confirmed at a repair store. I have more than the 5GB in photos and videos. Is there anyway to retrieve this media that is above the 5GB that the Icloud can store on a new Iphone I purchased? Many Thanks!
Only if you have backed-up this data. It cannot be retrieved from a phone that will not turn on.
That depends. Can the device not be powered on because of a battery issue or is the phone completely dead? If it's just a battery, you'll probably have to replace the battery and send the pictures to yourself or upgrade your iCloud storage.
If the phone is inaccessible, it's unlikely you'll get the missing photos.
Yeah, those options get very expensive very quickly. Of course, if the motherboard gets fixed there is no guarantee that they won't accidentally erase your data. So, it depends on what is on it; how important anything on the device is to you.
It is completely dead. I was hoping it was just a battery that was tested to no avail. I appreciate your reply. The store I took it to said I could send away to have the motherboard fixed.
The motherboard can not be "fixed".
