Some of questions posts are gone. My questions posts are missing.

Hi,

It has been a while since I’ve been on Apple support community and I’ve noticed that a majority of my question posts are missing. I only have 3 posts now (4 including this). Why is this? Did they get deleted or something?

Thanks

Hi Allan,

I found a way to view my old posts through email just now! I remembered that email notifications were on and sifted through to find my old posts. I’ve attachment some of my missing post down below. Why some of my posts can’t be viewed under “subscription” is still confusing.

OK. Thank you.

When I click on your "Subcriptions" I see your old posts:

https://discussions.apple.com/profile/I-have-a-question-please/subscriptions

in this format:

Apple's calling forum activity "Subscriptions" has cause a lot of confusion since late 2018 and a number of the senior users here have asked that it be changed to something less open to misinterpretation.

It has been a while...

How long a "while?"

The forum software was completely replaced on 5 Dec 2018 and most posts older than that were not retrievable through the forum's built-in search function.

Do you still have same same username? If so, a web engine search with limiters can find older posts, which will surely be locked by now. Try this search string that limits the search to a username, year, and Apple Support Communities:

Username +"username”+"2010" site:discussions.apple.com

Replace the "username" that is in quotes with your username but keep the quotes. If you do not need a date search, leave that part out. You can add a subject limiter in the same way the year is added in the example:

Username +"username”+"reset NRVAM"+"2010" site:discussions.apple.com

That's the way they designed the software. It is less confusing to people like Allan and myself simply because we are more deeply involved in the forums and see a lot of what Apple does. It simply doesn't surprise us that much.

Some of questions posts are gone. My questions posts are missing.
