After opening Photoshop, Affinity Photo stops working properly

Once Photoshop has been opened, Affinity Photo stops working properly telling me that it does not have permissions to open files, and or that it does not have permissions to save files. The location and or destination of the files it is telling me it doesn't have permission to access are locations like the desktop, or folders within my own user folders - ie folders that work normally and folders that Affinity Photo most definitely does have permission to save to. So far this bug has happened only when both Affinity Photo and Photoshop have been opened at the same time (Affinity Photo does not re-gain permissions once Photoshop has been closed).

Has anyone else experienced these same issues?

Note: I *never* had a problem with Affinity Photo until after starting to use Photoshop

Note that if I close both Affinity Photo and Photoshop, then re-open Affinity Photo, everything works perfectly. The issue does not require a restart of the device. It only requires a restart of the application. There are no issues with opening or saving files in Photoshop. It does seem like somehow Photoshop is the culprit of the issue - that by opening Photoshop there is something kicking in that causes Affinity Photo to stop working normally.
