Playing a music app using iWatch and iPods without iPhone.

My iWatch Series 3 will not allow a music app (iHeart and/or Pandora) to play using only my iWatch and Ipods. I've connected the iPods onto my iWatch and it always stops playing a few feet away from my iPhone. Any suggestions?

Can no longer play/stream music from Apple Watch speaker I recently I discovered that I am no longer able to play music on my Apple Watch without being prompted to choose a bluetooth device. Previously I was able to choose Apple Watch as my audio output which is no longer an option. If I attempt to play music with my iPhone turned off, I am forced to choose a bluetooth device. Also, I can connect my watch to a bluetooth device and play music (iTunes), but when I attempt to stream Pandora, the audio output defaults to my iPhone despite being "connected" to the device. If my iPhone is turned off, I cannot play any music from Pandora. Once again, I can play from my iTunes library, but Pandora is not functioning the same way. Can someone please tell me how to fix these issues?

If it's not a cellular watch then you need your phone with you,unless you have downloaded music onto the watch.
