I randomly saw Pokémon go downloaded when I never did

There are two ways this game might have gotten onto your phone:

1. Someone had your phone in their hands and downloaded it
2. Another device that is using your Apple ID downloaded it, and you have automatic downloads enabled on this iPhone which automatically downloaded the game to this iPhone.

There is no other possible way the game got onto this device.

Ok, this is going to sound super nuts, but the same thing just happened to me.

No one, but me, touches my phone. I do not have my Apple ID used on any other device and I have two factor authentication turned on. I am 100% sure the app wasn’t on my phone yesterday….but I just noticed the Pokemon Go app icon sitting right there on my phone screen.

I did download the app back in 2019, but I have never used the app on this phone. Nor have I ever had this happen (unexplained download) happen to me with any other app before. Very confused.

Did not open the app. Simply went to system preferences -> storage and deleted app. Hope that is enough.

This happened to me too! I literally just saw it on my Home Screen! I downloaded the app in 2016 but deleted it after about a week. Mind you, this is a brand new phone, and I have never downloaded it on here! And yet it just randomly showed up on my Home Screen!
