iMac with older OS
My iMac says I cannot download the new OS. I now have 10.13. My Mac still works good and is fast. What can I do?

I am sure you likely already know this but if you want to stay current on Mac OS please consider upgrading you hardware a little more frequently. Even 10.13.6 is now 3 generations out of date, soon to be 4. If a new iMac is not in the picture consider an Apple refurbished Mac, a new Mac mini, buying used from a reputable reseller such as Macsales.com. You have MANY alternatives available to you.
that's what I was afraid of...thanks for your help!
What model year iMac do you own?
iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010)
10.13 High Sierra is the last macOS that a 2010 iMac can run.
If you want or need to upgrade to a later macOS, then you will need a new or newer Mac.
You’re welcome.
