Notes disappeared from Macbook

I did a recent update to BigSur 11.4

All of my Notes have vanished without a trace. Not deleted. Vanished.

In fact, the paths & related folders appear to be gone as well.

Years of valuable info.

I had an apple specialist on the phone and they couldn't figure out why.

Unfortunately it is no longer unusual for your data to disappear with Apple. I've had passwords stored on Safari disappear, now, about 100 notes vanish without a trace. And Apple completely at a loss for why,

I guess this is less of a question, than a warning. I was unwise to not back everything up with the Time Machine, but, it shouldn't be too much to ask that my Macbook not arbitrarily delete something so specific for no apparent reason.

I've seen online solutions involving the storedata files and the LocalNoteStore files, but, those solutions do not work.

I would appreciate any potential solutions, but, after an hour on the phone combing through every file in the machine with Apple, I do not have much hope at all.

If you use the iCloud Drive look there.
