New iPhone didn’t transfer everything

Repeating: What happened when you followed the instructions in the Related Article link above your name on this page, that you were reading when you posted your message? That should transfer all of the data from your old phone to your new phone. Apps are not included, but they are downloaded automatically from the app store as part of the transfer process.

Were the text messages iMessage and SMS, or some other messaging app such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger? Did you check to see if they were synced to iCloud (Settings/[your name]/iCloud - Messages=ON)? If the were just turn it on in the new phone.
