Why is it so hard to get this device to count flights? My Fitbit was nothing like this. If I walk up a step hill I get no flights. This watch will cause someone to have a cardia event trying to get flights!

Is your Compass app still reporting elevation changes correctly?
Presumably some dirt can cause problems with that altimeter. You could try cleaning your watch.., or even have a go with one of those UV sanitizers. Just a thought.
