Restart you Mac in Safe Mode:

[Hold Down: the shift key upon boot]. Once booted up, login items do not run at login, and damaged system files (i.e. caches) are fixed. So, boot into Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally. See if this is now fixed.
