What is the Salt Lake City Goldman Sachs address to send a payment check?
Thank you Jeff. I still believe Apple and Goldman Sachs could be much more clear with their verbiage, since I’ve never seen payment directions listed under “Contact Us” and described as “you may contact us with questions or other matters…” Also, the other context of writing in iOS Message or calling a phone number tends to indicate that section is for ”correspondence”, not necessarily the Legal Entity address or for payments — unless sending checks is considered “correspondence”… I understand your point and interpretation, I disagree with whomever wrote that section and whomever signed off on the overall Agreement that does not say a single time “you may send payments to XYZ address” or simply listing the legal entity address of the bank we entered into the Agreement.
Also, on June 29 I had contacted Apple via Message (which is an official correspondence method as per the Agreement), and searched over & over for an official address to send payments, or the official address for “Goldman Sachs Bank USA Salt Lake City Branch” (as stated in the Agreement), and no answer was ever provided. To this day.
Thanks again, though. My beef isn’t with you…
Hi, all correspondence goes to the address below,
CONTACTING US — Goldman Sachs Bank
Except as explicitly set forth in this Agreement, you can contact us with questions or other matters about your Account by:
• Using Messages, chat with an Apple Card specialist.
• Calling us toll-free at 877-255-5923; or
• Writing to us at Lockbox 6112, P.O. Box 7247, Philadelphia, PA 19170-6112.
If you attempt to contact us by other means, we may not receive your message and may not be able to respond in a timely manner, or at all.
The reply talks about “contacting us” and “responding”. My question is about sending a payment, other banks require the address to send the check. Is this also the “lockbox” address in Philadelphia where “Goldman Sachs Salt Lake City Branch” receives payment?
Hi, that is the address all correspondence, including payments are sent to. The verbiage is copied directly from the Apple Card Credit Agreement that was electronically provided to you. Here is a link to a pdf,

The Salt Lake City is just a corporate address and not used for correspondence etc.
Hi, the chat is not a message service. You have to wait for a support team member to respond while you're connected. It does not work like message or text on a phone.
The official way to pay is either online or via your iPhone or iPad. Goldman Sachs is trying to be accommodating by allowing paper checks. This is not a standard way of payment nor will it ever be. There are many unique features of the Apple Card by Goldman Sachs that are designed to enhance the security and make servicing the account holder in the Sadie’s and most efficient way possible. Hence the use of electronically making payments, rather than traditional ways that are inefficient and wasteful in regard to the Enviornment.
My understanding from posts on various social media platforms that GS is allowing this as a convenience and curtesy to their customers. It is not intended as the usual method of payment. Because they are not setup to process paper checks they recommend timing you payment to arrive at least one week before the payment due date (always the last day of the month). In other words a payment for this month should be in the mail now.
When you agreed to the conditions of the Apple Card you were supplied electronically a copy of the Apple Card Customer Agreement. Here is a link to it,

I merely copied the information on correspondence from the agreement. But the P.O. Box listed above is the address being used for all paper correspondence. The physical location of Salt Lake City, Utah as a location is for legal reasons. There is not a branch you can walk in and make a payment. They are using Utah because of banking laws in Utah are favorable to GS as opposed to other states or New York, their corporate HQ location. This is not an uncommon practice. Several western states have more favorable banking laws than other states. Philadelphia is where GS has facilities to open mail and equipment to process paper checks and other correspondence.
I hope this helps with explaining your questions and concerns.
