I already back up my photos from my iphone and Mac to the icloud. If I follow your instructions on how to backup my devices prior to an appointment at your Genius Bar, will the photos be backed up twice?

If you use iCloud photos you’re all set. It’s still a good idea to backup your phone to iCloud or your computer for everything else.

I believe Apple provided you instructions. Follow those and you’re good to go.
