AirPods disconnecting on calls

I saw a question exactly like my problem i’ve been having, and apple responded to clean the airpods. still i’ve done that many times, when i go on a phone call my left airpods disconnect very quickly, and stop working or playing the audio. when i play music it disconnects within 5-10 minutes and sometimes 5-10 seconds. been having this issue for a few months now, tried many things google told me, still happens. please send some ideas to try and help. it may be my phone and not the airpods, but would like some advice on it.
