iPhone 11 has slow connection on 2.4g wifi network than 5g.

I have observed my iPhone 11 (iOS 4.6) has terrible throughout on 2.4g wifi connection in comparison to 5g connections. This happens on multiple different networks.

I have observed that rebooting phone clears the problem, but only temporarily.

I have read other iPhone 11 users having same problem, but haven’t seen any resolutions. Does anyone have explanation or know the cause?

That is because 5Ghz connections are much faster than 2.4Ghz connections.

Respectfully no, that isn’t it. At times I will get less that 1mbs throughput on a speed test using 2ghz connection, and if I immediately switch over to a 5ghz connection. I get over 80. Furthermore, when I same test on PC, the 2.4ghz gets 40mbs.

I will will rerun these test and capture all the measurements, including using an iPhone 7 w older version of IOS from backup.
