Why is the age rating for Discord 17+? I saw in the past that it used to be 12+ and now it isn't. I've even seen it switch back a forth a few times between 12+ and 17+. And is there anyway it can change back to 12+?

I'm not sure if the age ratings for an app are determined by the developer or by the App Store. But you can contact Apple Support and ask. Use the Get Support link at the top of the page here to contact them and ask.
