How can I use my iMac 27" desktop?

Older 27" iMac PC powers up to open screen. I can not open as the name/password boxes will not accept any typing.

Yes new top quality batteries have been inserted to both keyboard and mouse.

how can I open my computer to use?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15
