SMS on iPad Pro

My iPad used to be able to send messages to android users (SMS) and now it does not. I have T-Mobile service on my iPad. How can i fix and re-enable this feature?

The only way to send and receive SMS on the iPad is to have an iPhone and have Text Message Forwarding turned on for the iPad. Both of the devices need to be signed into the same Apple ID, then on the iPhone go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding, and select your iPad. A cellular iPad still cannot send SMS on its own.
