Dual sim drop signal

I am quoting another post in its entirety below because i am having the same problem and the post appears to have been locked. I doubt there was a resolution because i firmly believe it is a hardware issue. There were 7 "Me Too".

The issue is the physical SIM loses cellular connectivity when answering or making a phone call on the eSIM. I have switched lines between primary and secondary yet still the same problem: the physical SIM only loses connectivity when calling on the eSIM. Everything is normal once the eSIM line is not on a phone call. I have new a SIM card and loaded new eSIM. I have done everything suggested in the single response to the post below. Both lines are back to normal after ending phone calls on the eSIM line. It is either a hardware or iOS issue that needs to be addressed by Apple. Thank you.

Q:

dual sim drop signal

I have dual sim setup on my iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 14.3

eSim for my main line(calls, messages, FaceTime, etc...)

Physical sim as data only (it has data package without any voice features).

I setup my iPhone to use physical sim for Cellular Data with “Allow Cellular Data Switching” Enabled.

the setup works perfectly and when I lose network on the physical sim, the data switches automatically to the eSim data.

The issue I have is while receiving or doing a call on my eSim. The physical sim drops signal completely after few seconds from initiating a call or receiving calls on eSim. As soon as I end the call, the physical sim gets the full signal.

This happens all the time, so it’s not occasional.

I tried different physicality sims, I’ve done network reset but still the same issue. I got this issue from the start even when I was on iOS 13 till my last update to 14.3 the issue remains.

I was wondering if anyone can help or faced such issue and got it fixed."

Hello

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you are losing signal on your physical SIM when you are on a call using the eSIM. This is expected. See this section from the following support article:

"If you're on a call and see No Service on your other line

Your iPhone can use one cellular data network at a time. When you're using one line to make a call, your other line shows No Service. If your carrier supports Wi-Fi Calling on your other phone number and you have Wi-Fi Calling turned on, you can answer incoming calls on that number. When you're on a call that isn't your default data line, you need to turn on Allow Cellular Data Switching."
