Scanner problems with Mac OS Big Sur

The scan function button in system preferences disappeared when I installed Big Sure

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.5

What make and model all-in-one or standalone scanner do you have?

Open Image Capture in your Applications folder and try it.

Try Image Capture.
Go to HP and check to see if they have a Big Sur update for that multifunction.

I have an HP laser jet pro M475dw multifunction. Everything was working fine till I upgraded to Big Sur; then the scan function just disappears from the system preferences…
