What Happened to my one year of Apple TV+ Free Subscription?

I recently purchased a brand-new iPhone 12 Pro from JB Hi Fi but am yet to receive any code etc to activate the one year of Apple TV+ as promised in all advertising and in the email I just received from apple with the subject "Welcome to your new iPhone 12 Pro."

All I get is the ability to sign up for a 7-day trial which is not what was promised.

I have noticed a number of other people have submitted the same request but receive no answer from Apple.

I purchased the phone 2 weeks ago and have tried multiple times on multiple devices and only receive the 7-day option.

I need an online resolution as we are currently in COVID lockdown.

Please provide details on how to get this resolved asap.

Define “recently”. For devices activated after July 1, the offer is now 3 months, not a year anymore.

You may not be eligible if you have had an Apple TV+ subscription before, or if you were part of a Family Sharing group that has had an Apple TV+ subscription.
