ipad pro not charging

Hi,

my iPAD pro recently does not want to charge, sometimes its a hit and miss, I am using the original cable and charger, both work as I can charger other devices using them. I've already tried restarting my device but still fails, I've also quit all applications.

what I have not tried is to factory reset the device, I would not want to factory reset the device.

anyone has tips on how I can fix this?
