Pairing Bluetooth speaker zoeetree S1

Hello

I see the zoeetree S1 in my Bluetooth in settings, but when I select the speaker, it continues to say to make sure the device is in range and powered on.

I had this speaker connected to my previous iPhone without an issue. I just received the Apple 12 and have not been successful. Any help would be great.

Hello VITOATECOOKIE,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing some issues with pairing a Bluetooth speaker with your iPhone. We are happy to help provide some guidance on this.

If you have the device currently saved in your Bluetooth settings but it won't complete the pairing process, we would recommend removing that device from settings and pairing it again with your iPhone. Just go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the "i" icon and forget the device, then re add it following the steps here:

Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you continue to experience issues trying to connect that Bluetooth speaker with your device, we have some great steps to follow listed in the helpful resource below:

If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Keep us updated on how it goes. We hope this information helps.

Best Regards.

We appreciate you keeping us up to date on your progress here. One last thing to try is to update the iOS version on your iPhone. If you navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, do you see any updates available? Take a look at the steps listed here for how to update your iPhone software:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issues persist after going through the update steps, the next thing we would recommend would be reaching out to the speaker manufacturer to see if there are any steps that might need to be taken on the speaker itself.

Cheers.

And just what do you think anyone can offer from our living rooms? This is a user to user only forum. I don't have magical abilities to get your speaker working with your phone. You need to work this out with the speaker manufacturer. Just DON'T let them pass the buck and say its an iPhone 12 only issue. That's bunk.

Things which cause such issues can be:

  1. You haven't put the speaker in Pairing Mode per the manufacturers directions.
  2. The device is paired with another device, which is nearby and powered on.
  3. The device has a limit to the number of devices it can be paired with.

If any of those could be your issue, correct them. Otherwise, speak with the speaker manufacturer to get help with their device.

Unfortunately, this did not help at all.

I have a Bluetooth speaker Zoeetree S1 that was previously connected to my old iPhone. I have a new iPhone 12 and although I see the device and continuously try to pair them, I keep receiving a notice that the pairing was unsuccessful, make sure the device is turned on and in range and ready to pair. Any assistance would be great to resolve this issue.

Contact the Manufacturer:

See what the manufacturer has to say on them. Ask them if they think this is a faulty device, and if they can replace it. Perhaps, they have yet to do their part in compatibility.

I contacted the manufacturer and this problem is apparently only an issue with iPhone 12. The Bluetooth speaker can connect to several other devices, but not the iPhone 12.

I have done everything you asked. Verified that it connects to other devices, updated my iPhone 12, verified it wasn’t conn eyed to any other devices when I tried connecting, contacted the manufacturer which stated that they have received several calls re: the iPhone 12 and that it seems to be a glitch with the iPhone 12.

matter of fact, I tried to connect to another Bluetooth speaker and didn’t let me pair that one either. Through the years I have used Bluetooth speakers with other versions of iPhones, so this is not new to me and it is clear now that this is a glitch in the iPhone 12.

If you are experiencing this issue, please join the conversation and express your concerns, and if enough of us share them, perhaps apple will take action and fix this issue.

I have numerous Bluetooth speakers and headphones paired with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12. No issues whatsoever.

If you checked with the manufacturer of the speaker and they told you it's an iPhone issue that speaker manufacturer simply passed the buck. Plain and simple. There is nothing different or unusual about Bluetooth pairing on iPhone versus any other device which uses standard Bluetooth pairing protocols.

I also just got an iPhone 12 and am unable to pair it with my ZoeeyTree S1 that I used with my previous iPhone XR. That is the only device I ever paired it with and all software is up to date. It shows the speaker name but just spins without ever bringing up the i icon to forget the device so I can’t even try to disconnect it. When I click on it to choose it, it spins and eventually brings up the same message in the screenshot the other person shared.
