Keeping private folders in my home place

Hi,

Is it safe to store files in the home folder?

I normally use the Downloads folder for everything but I decided to use it just for downloads from now on. I have some small folders like custom app icons or custom wallpapers and I want to store them in my home folder. I don't want to damage any system files so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks

Yes, it is safe to store stuff there.

It would be more normal to use the documents folder though. If you don't want to use documents, I'd suggest creating an appropriately named subfolder within the home folder, just to keep things tidy.
