Optical Photocondutor Life Over
Big Sur 11.5 is being overly dramatic. I've done a little research and see that this has been a problem with previous OSs.
I currently can't print after updating to Sur 11.5.
Printer is a Brother a J985DW
Any help?
Brother recommends using Apple's built-in AirPrint support for this printer, provided it is a networked device. AirPrint should alleviate the need to depend on Brother for future driver updates, and AirPrint should also provide scanning access to this device via Apple's Image Capture.
With your printer networked and powered on, visit System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and right-click on the J985DW entry. Choose Reset printing system… and re-add the device with AirPrint, not with any Brother-specific drivers.
