nsurlsessiond is the process that is used by iCloud to sync your iCloud Drive/Photos/Contacts/etc between your mac and the iCloud server.
You can try signing out of iCloud and back in again

It seems that you have one or more apps using a lot of bandwidth. Use the Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities) and click on Network to see which apps are responsible for this. Note that you can sort the data in the columns by clicking on their headers.
You are correct: the 1st culprit could be iCloud. But, from what I understand, this process is also used to handle data transfer for other apps.
And please do correct me if I am wrong: I'm still learning...
