I want back the 3.1.3 !

I upgraded recently my iPhone 3GS from 3.1.3 to 4.0.1. My iPhone started to behave rather badly after this. It breaks the incoming and outgoing calls after some minutes. I have been compelled to stare The mighty Apple logo for a minute or so before I can restart the phone again.
My operator could not give me any help or advice how to get rid of this odd behavior.

So I'm asking if it is possible to restore the phone software to the previous level 3.1.3.
I have to underline that I had no problems with the phone before upgrading.

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

And I want world peace. Neither of us is going to get our wish.

Most likely the problem occurred during the upgrade rather than a problem with the release itself. So since you can't have what you want the next best thing to do is to fix the problem with 4.0.1. There are plenty of discussions on how to fix problems after upgrading; try searching the forum, or post more specifically what is happening.
