Microphone frequently cuts off when the case is on

I have the brand new iPad Pro 2021 12 inch and whenever I’m with my friends on discord the mic sometimes cuts off. When it happens, the little orange dot that signifies that the mic is being used disappears, I can’t hear them and they can’t hear me. This problem makes calls undoable and it really bothers me.

Recently, I figured out that the problem doesn’t occur when the Ipad case is off so I did a little research and came across a feature that only happens in the new iPad which disables microphones when the iPad case gets closed. This just might be it, maybe that new system is just horrible, doesn’t function correctly, and I need to turn it off? Could be, but I really hope I knew how to turn it off.

Anyhow, I don’t know how to solve this error that prevents me from making normal calls on my iPad. I don’t want to be forced to take off the case every time I need to be in a call so I would really appreciate some help.
