Emails disappeared

It sounds like your emails have disappeared from your device. If you're missing email through your actual email provider (on their website), you would want to contact them to see if there's any way to recover those messages. The Mail app on an iPhone is just going to "mirror" whatever is on your mail providers website, so if the messages aren't showing there, they're not going to show in the Mail application.

Since you're pposting in the iCloud.com forum and this might be an issue specifically with an iCloud email account, you'll want to contact Apple Support directly to see if there's any way to recover those lost messages. You can connect with them here: Get Support

If filters are created the mail will vanish see Sort and filter email in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Also if mail box is full new mail won't appear If your iCloud mailbox is full - Apple Support

If IMAP account is set and account is offline If a mailbox is offline in Mail on Mac - Apple Support , mails will disappear .

If pop account is set if mail data is excessive the back date mails ( like 5 - 6 years mails ) can disappear .
