My MacBook turns itself off although the battery level is showing approx. 70%

Is there a way to stop this?

my mac turns off at 50 percent my MacBook randomly turns off at about 53 percent battery. I haven't even dropped my MacBook once or anything so I don't think its broken I just wanna know if I can turn on a setting or something that makes it last the whole 100 percent , also I relised that my battery goes down way faster that some other people with the same computer as me
