Apple Watch

Hi

on my watch app it is asking that I enter my password for my email accounts. When I do, it says unable to authenticate account , please make sure Apple Watch is near by and unlocked. It is unlocked on my wrist. I’m not sure how to rectify this. I am unable to get emails on my watch as a result. Anyone else have this issue?

both phone and watch have all updates. Watch is set to mirror phone.
