I cannot open my Photos app. to view photos all of a sudden. Can you assist?

What happens when you try to open photos app, including any messages?
What version of MacOS do you have?
Has anything changed on your system prior to this happening (Especially a macos update)
Where is your library stored? (In your pictures folder, or somewhere else)
