All current iPad models all run the same full iPadOS and all the same apps from the Apple iOS App Store.

All current iPad models all either use the original, 1st or newer 2nd gen Apple Pencil.

( iPad 8th gen and iPad Mini 5 all use the original, 1st gen Apple Pencil )

( 2018, 2020 and the newest 2021 iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Air 4 models use the 2nd gen Apple Pencil )

So, iPads are more like cars, now.

You are paying for iPad optional features, now.

Do you want/need larger internal data storage space for data, like music. movies and photos/images and room for other types of data?

Do you need a larger or smaller iPad screen?

Do you need a larger screen with much more pixels that is much brighter, with a high resolution dymanimc range?

Do you need/want an iPad model in a variety of colors?

Do you want/need a bonded, laminated display?

Do you/want/need higher color gamut display with Tru-tone room brightness calibration?

Do you want/need faster, more powerful internal CPU?

Do you want/need more internal processing RAM?

Do you want/need better iPad cameras?

Do you want/need better/more iPad speakers?

Do you want/need the improved, 2nd gen Apple Pencil?

Do you want/need to have the new Magic Keyboard portfolio for the 2018/2020 iPad Pro/iPad Air 4 models?

All of these options are what you need to decide if you really need, or not, and to decide to pay for accordingly.

The more iPad features you decide you need, the more you pay.

It all comes down to how much money you are willing to spend on iPads with additional, premium features.

You can now pretty much do everything on any current iPad model, now.

All current iPad models are sufficiently powerful enough, today, to do pretty much any task put to them now.

Purchase the largest internal data storage capacity iPad model you can afford as no Apple mobile iOS/iPadOS devices have ANY internal expandable storage.

Best of Luck to You!

iPad is a great choice to go with if you are looking for a powerful yet portable machine. iPads these days are so powerful that they even outperform some of the most prominent windows laptop.

Well you should always select any iPad by considering your requirements. There are 4 types of iPads.

  1. iPad
  2. iPad mini
  3. iPad Pro
  4. iPad Air

All these are the catagory of the iPads.

Let me now tell you there uses.

  1. iPad- These are the basic types of iPad and they are still having the old curve edge design to them. These are the way to go if you are looking an iPad for your child. These are not that power packed because apple uses their old chipsets in these iPads. These are usually not that expensive. Apply pencil and keyboard both are supported.
  2. iPad mini- These are small in size and very powerful machines. I myself use and iPad mini 5 and I love it. These are best if you are looking an iPad for gaming. These are having small display and crisp displays. Have that 3.5mm headphone jack so that you can plug and play with your traditional headsets. These are also having the old physical design but the chipset inside is a complete beast. These according to me are the best if you are looking for something called ‘Value for Money’.
  3. iPad Pro- These iPads are undoubtedly the most powerful ones. These are having huge screen sizes and a song compute power. These things are made for professionals. These are the most expensive ones. The latest models have the m1 chip and the performance it delivers is amazing. It has also got the 120hz Liquid Retina display which trust me is buttery smooth. Go for pro if you are a working professional.
  4. iPad Air- Here we are at the iPad Air. These iPads are the best ones for students. These are the iPads that come between the iPad and the iPad Pro. These have a large display size, powerful processor and support to Apple Pencil and keyboard. The latest models have the A14 Bionic chipset which is great. These are cheaper from the iPad Pro but will give you similar feel.

Rest it’s all up to you make your mid and buy your iPad. I assure you won’t regret your decision.
