iMac power cord 90 degree bend?

I have a new 2021 iMac. If I mount the power chord without going through the hole in the stand it will have a 90 degree bend. Is this to sharp a turning radius and will it damage the chord?

I don't want the chord sticking out of the stand hole as it is on a kitchen island and will take away to much cooking space.
