AirPort Utility Doesn't See Network Devices

Just updated to macOS Big Sur v. 11.5 on an early 2016 MacBook. My Netgear Nighthawk cable modem WiFi router shows 15 connected devices, but nothing appears in AirPort Utility. My iPhone and my wife's MacBook Air do appear as choices when when I attempt to Share-AirDrop a file. Is this a known issue with AirPort Utility?

On Ventura can you connect to both Wireless and Wired at the same time? I want to use the wired connection on my Mac M1 but then airdrop does not work. Other discussions here seem to say you can have both turned on at the same time. I asked Apple Support and they say you cannot. On my Mac I can use either wired or wireless separately and it works fine. If I am using wired and I switch on wireless, I can no longer reach the internet. I have the order of services set to ethernet first and wireless second. Does this work for anyone else?

My Mac isn't discoverable via AirDrop Hi. I have a 2017 MacBook Pro running Big Sur Version 11.4 Other devices cannot discover it via AirDrop. TheMacBook can see other devices, but they cannot see it. I have tried several iPhones and iPads, including recent devices (for example iPhone 11) running the latest iOS. On the MacBook, my AirDrop settings are "Allow me to be discovered by: Everyone". My firewall is off. I have tried toggling the wifi and bluetooth on and off. I have tried resetting my laptop and other devices. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Airdrop not working with firewall on For a long time the airdrop on my mac was only working when I turned off the firewall if I needed to use it. I tried all the troubleshooting (turning bluetooth and wifi of the used devices off and on again, restarting the devices, unchecking the upper most checkbox on the further firewall options,...). Nothing seemed to help. I found the same question on this forum but couldn't answer it, so I am posting the question again and giving myself the solution to it I guess (if anyone else struggles with this in the future). My understanding is that Airport Utility works with Apple Airport devices but not with non-Apple routers.

Hmm. I guess I hadn't used AirPort Utility since I replaced my Time Capsule. Thanks much.

I had the same situation before. Disconnect the Airport from the power cord, then, reconnect the cable while holding the reset button for five seconds this will bring It back to the network.
