Question regarding speak to text on iPhone XS max

Hello,

I have an XS max. It’s my 2nd one as my first one was damaged beyond repair. I use the talk to text feature all the time. On my first phone, I would speak a word and if the phone wasn’t sure what I had said, the text would automatically underline the word in question, I could touch the word and it would give me possible options for other words. The phone i have now underlines words that are potentially incorrect but I can’t touch the word and have it bring up the optional correct words. I hope this makes sense as I don’t know how to explain it any better. I appreciate any help anybody could offer.
