connecting to CarPlay with new iPhone 12
similar to last question but it didn't seem to be answered. the new chargers for the iPhones 12s are USB c to lightning. The built-in in the car accepts a USB a. How do you now connect to Car play?

You would just need to get a regular USB-A to lightning connector like used on other iPhones. The USB-C end is for the power adapter, not the phone itself. These cables are available in the Apple Store app, a physical Apple Store or other box store. There are also MFi (Made For iPhone) cables available as well in retail stores and online.

I just tried the USB A with lightning as i always used in the car and it connected me just fine. I guess what confused me was the fact that the new iPhone came with the USB C and I thought that's all i could use from now on.
But thanks for your answer.
Glad you got it working. Enjoy. I wish my car was new enough to have CarPlay. I'm waiting in the hope I can get a newer car soon so I can enjoy CarPlay. There are also some new features becoming available in iOS 15. Watch for that.
