Numbers

If I paste a bank statement into a blank sheet, all the numbers which have a decimal point become locked as Automatic under Data Format and can not be changed to Number or Currency. However the numbers pasted without a decimal point can be changed to anything.

This was never a problem with my previous Numbers program and was all very simple. Any advice or help?

Sometimes this sort of thing can occur if the bank is providing data that uses the . as a decimal separator whereas your machine and Numbers are set to a region that expects , as a decimal separator. Or vice versa.

Perhaps you could provide more details on what region your machine is set to.

Note that in Numbers you can now "switch regions" by going to File > Advanced > Language & Region ...
