My Apple 4K remote controls my volume on my Bose Solo 5, but it won't turn it on/off.

Anyone have this problem and have it fixed?

The new Siri Remote (2nd generation) has a power button that is said to also work for TVs via IR (depending on settings). Receivers or other audio systems aren't mentioned.
The previous Siri Remote (1st generation) and the new Siri Remote (2nd generation) can indirectly turn off HDMI-connected devices through HDMI-CEC functionality. CEC will not propagate over optical connections.
