why is apple have so many problems with podcast connect do they not want our content anymore?

No-one on here knows anything about the inner workings of Podcasts Connect. However problems have been arising off and on since there were changes made there, which were largely driven by the introduction of 'Premium Podcasts' - podcasts providers who subscribe to Apple's service can charge listeners for if they choose.
