Linking two airbooks

I have my old airbook 2015, and my new one, 2020 m1, can I link these? Rather than migrate all of my information over, but rather than having to go from one to the other all the time? May not work. Would like to use the later one as the keyboard / mouse for both. and have an external monitor as well, not sure if this makes a difference?

Thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Hi AppleUser0021,

Welcome to the Apple community where some of us do our best to help each other.

Sorry I don't have much experience with this myself, however ...

Apple has support pages, (and links from them to more info.) that may help you find answers:

Create a computer-to-computer network on Mac

Use Ethernet to connect two Mac computers

Use multiple displays with your Mac:

Hope this helps :)
