How do I change the default Player in the control point?

I absolutely do not understand how to change the default player in the control point. I searched through all the settings. Why can't I start music in spotify or any other program when I start my Mac without opening the program itself?

How Do I REMOVE* "Apple Music" As My "Default App" For Audio .mp3 files ? [Default App Settings Help] Hello Everyone, Another thing driving me crazy lately ! When I double click a song file it automatically opens and plays in Apple Music. I prefer* to use VLC as my all around media player. Even when I do this useless method [pictured below], when the song finishes and i click another mp3 file Apple Music opens again. Am i missing a step ? Why is it not* saving my preference ? Mac Mini M1 on Big Sur 11.1 ^ ^ ^ Note: The box is checked. Is anybody else having this problem ? What's the solution ?

Unable to stop Spotify opening on mac startup Spotify was not in my login-in items list. There are no Spotify files in Launch agent folder in open or hidden library file There are no Spotify files in Launch daemon folder in open or hidden library file I have unchecked the 're-open apps after re-start' pop-up. I even added Spotify to my login-in items list. Restarted mac, then unchecked it. Then restarted again - it still opened. None of the above has worked. Any advice please? I'm using MacOS Monterey.

You can't change it. It only works with the Music app.
