Hello Tigger5919,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you received a text message regarding Apple Pay but do not recall setting it up with your card. We’d be happy to help.

To learn more About Apple Pay, take a look at that resource.

If you did not set up Apple Pay, and received suspicious phone calls and messages asking for personal information like a card number, we would advise you to be cautious since Apple would not call to request information like this. Take a look at Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams.

When setting up Apple Pay, your bank issuer verifies your card and information as part of the process. We would suggest contacting your bank directly to ensure these messages or calls were not coming from them.

Have a nice day.
