Is it safe for a screen to put nail polish and nail polish remover on it?

Hello, I was watching a youtube video on how to remove scratches from an apple watch, and one video suggested using nail polish and nail polish remover to make the scratches on the screen less visible. Will this remove any important coatings or will the screen be fine?

I've heard some people say that toothpaste removes scratches too. Would that be safe for the screen as well?

Any coating that's on the watch. Have you ever worn nail polish? Acetone dissolves it. It may affect the seals as well. Do NOT put it on your watch. Depending on the type of band you have, it may also damage that.
