While browsing with the safari app on my iPhone there was a pop-up with “download” on it. I thought I clicked it away but it downloaded the file Setuid. I haven’t opened it but what could this be and can this be harmful?

A non-jailbroken phone cannot have malware installed. You are free to reset your iPhone if you wish. If you have a current backup made before you downloaded that file, just wipe the phone and restore to backup if you wish.
If it is in your Files folder, just delete it. Seems it is some type of Unix file. I wouldn't run it.

I’ve deleted it. Is there a way it could have run by itself?
Not from what I read about it, no.
Okey, and would it be best to reset the phone just to be sure? Or is there no way my non-jail broken-iPhone could have been hacked?
