Malware?

I was on a site (specially Fandom Wikia) and I was using Safari. I was trying to view an image to send to a friend and it took a while to load (it cycled from light grey to dark grey a few times) then had a little download notice pop up asking if I wanted to save a PDF of the character Wiki article I was reading and I backed out and cleared all data on Safari. As I’m an anxious person I’m wondering if I got my phone messed up regardless for simply being on the page. I checked for apps I don’t have, my phone is not jail broken unless somehow someone did it without asking, and I checked the Files app and there’s only what I have downloaded to my knowledge.
