If I create an Apple ID for my kid, will they still be able to FaceTime me?

Currently I use my Apple ID for my kids’ iPads. I like that they can FaceTime me even when I’m not home but keeping up with their games/subscriptions is getting tricky. Someone suggested to creating Apple IDs for them so their subscriptions stay separate.

MY CONCERN…If I create an Apple ID for my kids, will they still be able to FaceTime me?
