First you are going to want to make sure that you have a version of iPad OS that supports mouse input such as iPad OS 13 higher. If you don’t have a version that supports it, then you need to update your iPad. If you have a comparable version then you would use it just like you would a trackpad on a laptop. When you start using it, you will see the pointer on the screen.
